MIDNIGHT RODEO COWBOYS ASSOCIATION CAPSULE
Midnight Rodeo’s second release draws inspiration from “Urban Cowboy”’s Western spirit. urban living & nightlife led to the creation of this capsule. An iconic staple and symbol of the 1970’s, the ringer T-shirt is an embodiment of the vintage-tinged spirit synonymous with Midnight Rodeo. In keeping with the cinematic seeds from which our brand has grown, our first ringer is an homage to Gilley’s Bar, a legendary Texas nightclub featured in the famed 1980’s film, “Urban Cowboy”. The red and white colors displayed in Gilley’s advertisements and merchandise blend seamlessly with the bucking bronco graphic, an image emblematic of the wild ride called life. Taking cinematic elements from the 1980’s film “Urban Cowboy” starring John Travolta featuring one of the former most iconic honky tonk bars- Gilley’s Bar in Pasadena, TX. We created the Midnight Rodeo Cowboys Association trucker cap in the red and white colors Gilly’s once dawned in their advertisements and merchandise. Touching on the core Western Americana influences with roots in Texas this trucker comes full circle. While continuing the daytime allure of the 70’s that the “You’re Not Dreaming” collection embodied with its “Casino” and Las Vegas references- the Rodeo Association trucker continues the importance of the spirit of Las Vegas with embroidered script on the side of the cap. For years Las Vegas hosted the National Finals Rodeo which ties directly to the inspiration for our latest cap.
